Soap & Glory Makeup Favourites

Hello! Pinch, punch, first of the month and all that stuff. I can't believe it's March already, February has just flown by. I popped into Boots the other day to pick up some makeup wipes, when I accidentally found myself at the Soap & Glory stand, falling victim to another one of Boots 3-for-2 offers. I definitely didn't need these products (although I'm justifying the mascara because the one I was using was terrible) but look how pretty they are! Next time I go in to town I'm going to need someone sensible to come and intervene. The worst part is I forgot to actually buy the makeup wipes, which were the only thing I really needed. Bad Jenny.

001. Hocus Focus Instant Visual Flaw Softening Illuminator - £11

Hocus Focus is basically a good night's sleep in a bottle. It has a lotion-like consistency which is great to apply after primer and before foundation. It smells really nice and it brightens up my skin making it look more healthy and 'awake'. I've been out a few times this week celebrating birthdays which has really taken it's toll on my skin, so this has been such a godsend.

002. Sexy Mother Pucker Super Colour Lip Plumping Gloss in 'Candy Gloss' - £9

This lip gloss is super zingy when you first apply it, but it definitely plumps up the appearance of your lips. It's relatively long-lasting and it doesn't make my lips all sticky like some other glosses. I picked this up in 'candy gloss' which is peach-pink toned with a bit of a shimmer. If you don't mind the tingly effect (I kind of like it, is that weird?) this is a really nice lip gloss. I also like the cheeky name, you've got to love a good pun.

003. Thick & Fast Flash Extensions Mascara - £10.50

This is a really nice volumising mascara. I'm fairly lucky in that my eyelashes are pretty long, but the wrong mascara can lead to me looking like I have spider legs glued to my eyes - not sassy. Thick & Fast creates great volume and length without looking clumpy or caked on. It's consistency doesn't turn flakey during the day and it's easy to remove at night without feeling like you're pulling half your lashes out!

I think Soap & Glory products are so good, especially considering how cheap they are in comparison to their high-end counterparts. The packaging is always cute and I'm yet to be disappointed with a Soap & Glory purchase.

Hope everyone has a lovely weekend!
